Drones Identify & Track Without Remote Controller
While some drones have already touted their ability to follow subjects – a feature popular with aerial photographers and videographers – the Phantom 4 from DJI goes a step further. With brand new tracking technology, the drone can identify and track a specific person based only on appearance. The person in which the drone would follow just has to start near the drone before the flight begins. Then, the pilot can use the corresponding DJI app watch the drone as it follows the target. This drone comes equipped with sensor technology to help avoid collisions while also giving it the ability to keep the subject in sight at all times. And with a top speed of 45 mph, it can keep up with most of us. DJI expects the demand for this type of drone will be useful for outdoor adventures, from skiing, to kayaking and surfing.
